Wood Stain - Milk Paint Stain

Homestead House Wood Stain is easy to use, dries (and cures) rapidly in approx 20 minutes and can be used for interior and exterior projects. Simple to use - just add water!

This wood stain is composed of the same natural components of Milk Paint, making it VOC-free, biodegradable and almost odourless. Thus ensuring that working on your projects will always be safe and chemical free.

Instructions:

• Scoop the amount you will need into a container and add water (directions on the package). Mix until smooth and apply on an inconspicuous area to test depth of colour. To lighten add more water or deepen add more powder.
• Apply with a brush. Keep whisking/stirring your mixture as you work to stop the pigments falling to the bottom of your container.
• Allow to dry. Apply a second coat if a deeper colour is required. When dry the stain will appear very dull and a little 'cloudy'.
• Seal with wax, varnish, Tung Oil or Hemp Oil depending on your surface and how much heavy traffic it gets. Then watch the colour and wood grain come alive.
• Colours can be mixed to create custom shades.
• Pre-made stain will last in an airtight container indefinitely.
